Stambaugh Golf Course Now Open

(April 11, 2014) - The Henry Stambaugh Golf Course had a delayed opening due to unfavorable weather conditions. The staff is diligently working on the grounds to ensure that all customers have a great golf experience. The golf course is open 7 days per week from 8 AM – 6 PM. Money-saving specials are currently being offered in addition to memberships. Click here for course and rate information.

Mayor's Representative to MVSD Board

(March 28, 2014) - The City of Youngstown is seeking an individual to serve for a 3 year term as the Mayor's Representative on the Mahoning Valley Sanitary District's Board of Directors. The term of the Appointment begins May 5, 2014 and expires May 5, 2017. Applicants must be City of Youngstown residents. VAM USA, LLC $81 million Pipe Threading Mill to Locate in Youngstown

(March 13, 2014) - The City of Youngstown received a confirmation today that the VAM USA, LLC $81 million Pipe Threading Mill project will be located in Youngstown, Ohio and construction will begin immediately. VAM USA, LLC is a joint venture between Vallourec Star, Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metals. This investment will create approximately 80 jobs with the potential to expand upon that number.

We extend our thanks to Jobs Ohio and the Governor’s Economic Development staff, Tom Humphries from the Regional Chamber, Congressman Tim Ryan who secured funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for the original V&M project and Youngstown City Council who have supported this project from the inception.

Mayor's Weekly Spotlight

Parks and Recreation Summer Employment Applicants

The Department of Parks and Recreation is excited to once again employ both youth and young adults within the community this summer. Youths ages 16 and 17 can apply to work at the North Side Pool or the grass-cutting program. Young adults ages 18 and over can apply to work for the Summer Day Camp program or the grass-cutting program. All interested individuals need to complete an application in the Park Office. Also, if you have an open case with the Mahoning County Job and Family Services, contact your caseworker in addition to completing the employment application.
