City-plan workshops
Date: September 9, 2002 YOUNGSTOWN -- The city is conducting a half-dozen invitation-only workshops starting today as part of its comprehensive plan, a process the city is calling Youngstown 2010. The last citywide plan was done in the 1950s and was last updated in the 1970s. The city is working with Youngstown State University in writing the plan. Various community leaders have been invited to one of a half-dozen sessions through Thursday to talk about the city's strengths, weaknesses and opportunities. The results will be brought to public forums later this year. The plan will be written next year after leadership and public comments are gathered. |
